I’ve had the opportunity to visit some amazing tropical spots that completely stole my heart. Between the warm weather, beautiful beaches, and unforgettable experiences, these three destinations were the highlight of my travels—and I’d go back in a heartbeat.
- Costa Rica

Costa Rica takes the top spot because it really has a bit of everything. You’ll find amazing surf, soft sandy beaches, warm water, and stunning jungle scenery. Wildlife like monkeys, sloths, and colorful birds are everywhere, and the locals are kind and welcoming. The overall vibe feels safe, relaxed, and family-friendly. From food to places to stay, it’s also surprisingly affordable. Just be sure to check the forecast, because Costa Rica has both a dry and wet season.
2. Hawaii (The Big Island)

The Big Island of Hawaii is one of my favorite places to visit. There’s so much to do, from surfing and snorkeling to hiking through rainforests and exploring volcanoes. The snorkeling here is some of the best I’ve experienced, with vibrant reefs and sea life. Even just relaxing on the beach feels special. It’s important to respect Hawaiian culture and land, learning a bit of history adds meaning to the trip. It can be pricey, but since it’s in the U.S., it’s a great option for those avoiding international travel.
3. Fiji

If you’re chasing perfect waves, Fiji is the place. It’s home to legendary surf spots like Cloudbreak and Namotu Left. The water is crystal clear and warm, so there’s no need for a wetsuit. Ocean life is vibrant, making snorkeling and diving unforgettable. Fiji has a calm, tropical vibe and stunning coral reefs. While there’s not much to explore on land depending on the island, it’s ideal if you want to surf, snorkel, and soak up the sun all day.
